- Simple past tense untuk kejadian atau tindakan yang sudah selesai di masa lalu

Penggunaan utama dari simple past tense adalah untuk menunjukkan peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lalu. Jadi, jika ada kalimat yang menggambarkan suatu tindakan yang telah terjadi pada waktu tertentu maka kata kerjanya dalam bentuk lampau.

Contoh:

1. I saw a movie yesterday.

2. Last year, I traveled to South Korea.

3. Last year, I didn't travel to Japan.

4. Did you have dinner last night?

5. She washed her car.

6. He didn't wash his car.
